The Corona ward of Shifa International Hospital in the Pakistani capital Islamabad has once again recorded a few more patients in recent weeks after the number of patients dropped.  But now volunteers have begun arriving in another part of the same hospital for an experimental vaccine against the corona virus.

 Here, too, the scene is the same: permission to enter, safety measures, social distance and the use of masks are required.

 The vaccine was developed by the Chinese company Biotech Kensaino Bio in partnership with the Beijing Institute of Technology.  It is called the AD5 Novel Coronavirus Vaccine.  In Pakistan, it will be tested in 'Phase III'.

 This is the first time in Pakistan's medical history that a vaccine is being tested here and it is hoped that if successful, the vaccine will be available in large quantities in Pakistan.

 Dr. Ijaz Khan, Head of Infectious Diseases Department of the hospital and Senior Researcher at Shifa Hospital for China's Vaccines for Prevention of COD 19, met.

 Speaking to the BBC, he said: "There are currently 150 vaccines in the world undergoing testing and 25 of them have been tested on humans, and five to seven are in the third phase of this advance.  There are. 

He said that 10,000 volunteers would be vaccinated in five hospitals in Pakistan while a total of 40,000 volunteers from all over the world would be vaccinated.

Dr. Ijaz says that the arrival of a vaccine in Phase III means that it has succeeded in the early stages of clinical trials and trials on humans, meaning that the vaccine has shown its safe process that it can work in humans.  ۔

 The vaccine is initially tested on animals and then on a small number of humans.

 The first two phases, Phase One and Phase Two, were tested in China.

 Experts say that according to the results, one percent side effects or side effects were seen.

 But it didn't take long to get the vaccine to market in one to two years.  Now it remains to be seen what will happen if the AD-5 novel coronavirus vaccine is applied to a larger population in the third phase.  This will show how safe and effective it is.
