Ayesha's video and tension
Ayesha is seen laughing in her last video but in reality she was very tense because not everything was going well in their married life. Her parents allege that Ayesha lost her pregnancy due to violence by her husband and her family.
There is a lack but it is wrong to think that only when you are insane do you get treatment from a psychologist. Everyone needs to understand this. If anyone has the slightest stress, it should be treated.
Who was Ayesha?
Ayesha, 23, was the daughter of Liaqat Makrani and Harmat Bibi of Jalore district in Rajasthan. Liaqat Makrani came to Ahmedabad from Rajasthan for employment and lived with his family in Vitwa. Liaqat Makrani had four children.
His financial situation was not very good but he could work as a tailor and he started this job in Ahmedabad. Liaqat Makrani could not educate his eldest son and his son is currently working as a mechanic.
Ayesha asked her father Liaqat Makrani to acquit her husband of all charges
Liaqat Makrani says, "I wanted my children to get a good education and become senior officers, but seeing the troubles at home, my eldest son dropped out of school and started working." He said he works in electric wiring in cars. We run the house together. My eldest daughter Hina was married in Ahmedabad. Her wedding cost a lot. '
"My second daughter Ayesha was good at reading so I taught her. We affectionately called her Ayesha Sono. Ayesha was very promising, she was the first graduate of our family. After that, Ayesha also started her MA education.
Liaqat Makrani wanted her daughter Ayesha to continue her education but she also feared that it would be difficult to find a more educated boy in her community.
When Ayesha was studying for her MA, a good family from Jalor asked for Ayesha's relationship for their son and thus Ayesha got married to Babu Khan's son Arif two and a half years ago.
Arif worked as a manager in a granite manufacturing company in Jalore. He also had his own business selling granite. At the time of the marriage, Arif had promised that Ayesha would be able to continue her education.
Dowry demands and domestic violence
Ayesha's mother Harmat Bibi said, "Arif had said at the time of marriage that he would allow my daughter to get further education and she would be able to get a job." We thought the boy was literate, so we relied on his words. His status was much higher than ours so we also took a loan on Ayesha's wedding.
According to Ayesha's family members, Arif's family members were given three tolas of gold and one kilogram of silver as dowry at the wedding. In addition, Ayesha was given a lot of clothes and other things.
Ayesha's mother said: "After Ayesha's marriage, the debt on us increased. So the younger son Arman also had to drop out of school and he started working as a loan agent in a private bank, we were slowly repaying the loan.
Ayesha's family members allege that Arif and his family members were demanding Rs 1 million
Liaqat Makrani says that in the beginning their marriage was good. Then, at Arif's request, Ayesha dropped out of MA. She was also pregnant at the time, but since then, Ayesha's life has begun to suffer.
Ayesha's family alleges that her mother-in-law and Nand started harassing her with Ayesha's jewelery and even though she was pregnant, Ayesha was not given proper food.
According to the police complaint, Arif Khan, his father Babu Khan Ghafoor Khan, his mother Saira Bano and sister Khushboo Khan were charged.
In addition, a case of domestic violence has been registered in the Ghikant Metropolitan Court in Ahmedabad. It is also important to note that domestic violence is more prevalent during the Corona epidemic.
Jaswant Prajapati, chief operating officer of the government helpline Abhim, which helps women affected by domestic violence, said in a BBC Gujarati report that the incidence of domestic violence in Gujarat increased by 25 per cent during the lockdown.
According to the report, which was published in December 2020, about 1.5 million women worldwide have been victims of corona infection due to domestic violence.
Naginder Sood, secretary of Saath, an organization working to prevent suicide, is a lawyer by profession. "We have a lot of dowry and suicide cases coming up," he said. Most of these issues could have been resolved.
"When we have such cases, we should listen to them carefully before forming any opinion and provide free counseling for judicial assistance," he said. In cases like Ayesha, people can be saved from suicide by getting quick court decisions.
